Cool View From Above
Wow, I haven't updated the blog in a while. I post regularly on Facebook. To Leanna and others, I thank you for your comments! I didn't realize they were being held for moderation--since May. Eesh, how embarrassing. (blushing).

The other day I was flying out of Honolulu International headed to Tokyo Narita, Japan, not a usual route for me as the 777s usually fly that trip and not the 747. A Hawaiian layover was a real treat, like a mini-vacation. On the way out, I saw the most drop-dead gorgeous sight: the ocean below was awash in the most amazing colors of blue I've ever seen from the air. I believe the area is known as French Frigate Shoals. Took these shots with my Blackberry. Kinda makes you want to anchor there in a sailboat for a week, snorkling and fishing for dinner, doesn't it?!

Ooh, pretty. My husband sees Beluga and Humpback whales and volcanoes, mostly.
Great pictures, Susan, though I'm not much of a water-rat.
I've looked you up specifically to see if you have another Borderlands (or any other) book coming out soon. I finally got around to reading MOONSTRUCK after another move and went right on to THE WARLORD'S DAUGHTER. Great stuff! Loved M and am enjoying TWD equally. Therefore, I was hoping to read the next one soon.
You are one of the few writers I go to to get a "comfort" read--a book with little or no abusive language which, even if darker (as Moonstruck was described) still gives me a lift, a sense of hope. Thanks so much for something I need a lot of.
Ranurgis, what a nice thing to say! Thank you! I'm so glad that aspect of my books is appreciated & enjoyed! Dorchester is re-releasing the Star Trilogy in May 2010, all at once with new covers and at a reduced price. Then the next Borderlands is out in August.
Kimber An, now those are sights I'd love to see while flying. That's pretty cool!!!
Have I told you the one about him chasing a flock of bald eagles snacking on shredded seagulls off the runway in his jet?
Actually, I love all aspects of your books, including the subtle humor; that's why they're "comfort" reads.
I have all except the Mysteria stories and have read all of them except The Scarlet Empress of the 2176 series. That's because it took me so long to get the whole series; only yours were available in store here in CAN. By the time I finally did, I was on the move and haven't really stopped yet. I'm hoping to move into a 2-bedroom apt. across the hall from the one I have now. I just don't have enough room for all of my other "stuff," never mind my books. (grin) Anyway, the other 2176 books are off the radar.
you are such a talented writer, photographer, and pilot! thanks for sharing these photos!
